Could you give George and Lu Lu a home?

TWO handsome hounds from Hampton Hill are hoping to find a new home after their owner died.

George, 9, and his companion, Lu Lu, 7, are Bichon Frises who need to be homed together.

The dogs belonged to Rosemary Tarrant, owner of Past Times fireplaces shop on Hampton Hill High Street, who sadly died four weeks ago.

Friend Jenny Wackett took the dogs in when Rosemary was taken ill. She said: "She was taken to West Middlesex Hospital and she was worried to death about the dogs so I said I would take them in. The man in the DIY shop is helping to walk them, it has been a real community thing, everyone has been helping out.

"She died four weeks ago and poor little George and Lu Lu have been left, they have been with me for three months now. They are getting so attached they don't want to go."

But Jenny already has a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever, so her house is too cramped with four dogs.

"If I could keep them here then I would. They are adorable little dogs and very loving. They are little dogs who like nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa, one either side for a good cuddle."

She suggests they would be perfect for a retired couple who are home all day. But there is one important issue to consider, Lu Lu doesn't like cats so needs a home free of felines.

The pair have enjoyed long walks with Jenny's dogs, but she says they are equally happy with a quiet stroll around the cricket pitch.

If you think you can offer George and Lu Lu a loving home, contact Jenny on 8979 2267. She says she hopes they can stay in the local area.
