THE CHURCHES in the centre and south of Bury will be holding a walk of Christian Witness on Good Friday.
Anyone wishing to take part in the walk needs to meet at the United Reformed Church, in Rochdale Road at 11.45am. The walk will start at 12 noon to the parish church on The Rock, and then move onto St Marie's RC Church, Manchester Road. At each place the group will say a prayer or sing a hymn.
The Walk of Witness has become an important part of the Churches Together calendar. It has grown in numbers in recent years, with more than 100 people taking part.
