AN award winning band which has just finished a nationwide tour with the Fun Lovin' Criminals, is heading to Preston next week.

The loveGods, which recently picked up two gongs at the Brighton Music Awards, will be playing upstairs at the Adelphi pub on Wednesday, December 3.

The band, fronted by a charismatic female Australian singer known only as Deah, is made up of a French guitarist, and an English drummer and bassist.

The multi-national group started in Paris when Deah, busking on the street, met guitarist Art. The pair quickly moved to England where they were signed to a major record label.

But they parted company with the label, met the rest of the band and set up home in Brighton, starting their own studio.

The loveGods spent the following few years touring, and playing local concerts in Brighton, before they got the chance of a lifetime with the opportunity to hit the road with New York's finest, the Fun Lovin' Criminals.

The 'Criminals' recent UK tour took in Preston Guild Hall, and now the loveGods are capitalising on their success to return, giving fans another chance to see their exciting live act.

Their music ranges from hillbilly-style rock to ballads, and infectious pop songs.

For information and tickets go to the Adelphi, Fylde Street, Preston, or ring the pub on 01772 897961.
