DOBCROSS Silver Band is on the march and heading for the Longfield Suite in Prestwich.
The band first performed at the venue in 1997, and has become such an attraction, it pays a visit twice yearly.
Under the musical direction of Denis Hadfield, a "St George's Proms" concert is being staged on Saturday, April 24, at 8pm.
Promoter Terry Johnson said: "The Dobcross band concerts at the Longfield Suite, together with the band's own fundraising efforts at the annual Saddleworth Festival, has resulted in more than £15,000 being raised for Francis House Children's Hospice in Didsbury.
"They have proved increasingly popular, so much so that December's carol concert sold out in record time."
He added: "The musical director's policy of introducing talented younger players to the line-up has certainly paid dividends with the band now performing in the championship section with the likes of Fodens."
