A BARKING mad pooch has tapped into fame with his ability to turn on the waterworks.
Shadow, a rough-haired Jack Russell, has become the main attraction in a Lancaster neighbourhood after appearing on national television with his trick of turning taps on and off.
The three-year-old (pictured) starred on You've Been Framed last week and has been wowing locals ever since with his party piece of bounding up to a garden tap, turning it on with his teeth, having a drink and then turning it off again.
His owner Lilian Boland, of Sulby Drive, says: "He started doing it soon after I got him. I tried to stop him by putting a box around the tap and then flowers, but nothing seemed to work and so I gave up.
"I do not really mind because at least he turns the water off when he has finished."
But Lilian says the canine clown has to be kept on a tight leash when neighbours are washing their cars - because he goes berserk.
And she adds: "He has an obsession with water. Need-less to say I don't wash my car very often but I also have to keep him downstairs because he has started taking an interest in the shower and jumping up when it is turned on - but I would not change him for the world."
