Christmas seems to start earlier every year and, in Bacup, a meeting has been called to start planning local festivities eight months ahead.
Planning for Christmas celebrations will be taking place at an event at the St James' Centre on Tuesday, from 6pm.
Voluntary and community groups, business people, and the public, are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss festive plans for the area.
Organisers hope to get plans for a Christmas Fair and other activities off to an early start, with input from all sectors of the local community.
