SHOPPERS are being warned to take extra care while browsing through stores after a spate of opportunist thefts.
The latest victim was a 59-year-old Lancaster woman who had her purse snatched while shopping in Wilkinson's in the city centre last Saturday afternoon.
CCTV from the store shows a woman aged around 55 and five-feet-six-inches tall, wearing a black leather three-quarter-length coat, and a 60-year-old man who is five-feet-eight, wearing blue jeans and a polo neck, dipping into the handbag and snatching the purse.
One hour later a 64-year-old woman had her purse stolen while she was shopping in Marks and Spencer.
In total the pair made off with £104 cash.
