Skimmingdish crash

THE male driver of a Vauxhall Astra was airlifted with serious injuries to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital after his car veered into a ditch outside Bicester in Tuesday's rush hour traffic.

The accident, at about 5pm, between the Launton Road and Buckingham Road roundabouts on the A4095 at Skimmingdish Lane, caused traffic disruption and tailbacks.

Fire crews, who rushed to the scene with paramedics, cut the man from his car. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
