QUESTION: Turf Moor fans have expressed their concerns that the new stadium development and the cost of going to watch Burnley could spiral dramatically when the two new stands open.

Teasdale: "I'm doing everything in my power to keep the prices down when the new development is completed. There are various pieces of the jigsaw still to come together. We also have to be realistic because this is a big project.

But I can assure the fans that they will get the best possible deal we can give to them. We are not here to milk our own supporters. They are loyal and caring about this football club and I fully recognise that fact.

We are pushing ahead with the development, but I will not bury this football club in debt either. We have a good relationship with the TSB Bank and things need to be taken one step at a time.

Turf Moor will be a stadium to be proud of once we have finished. It will not be a gin palace. But it will be functional and comfortable. I think our fans will be pleasantly surprised. Hopefully the fans will be the ones to reap the benefit.

I have heard criticism over our decision to go all-seater. But it was not our decision. Legislation has dictated that we have to proceed with the stadium redevelopment.

We have had no alternative than to push ahead. I think history will prove we were right." QUESTION: Do you listen to the Radio Lancashire phone-in on a Saturday night ?

Teasdale: "I don't hear the phone-in, because normally speaking I'm either at the club or travelling home on a coach from an away game.

As far as I'm concerned, people are entitled to their opinions. I would rather them have an opinion, even if I don't agree with it, than not have an opinion at all.

People who are ringing the phone-in on a Saturday, criticising or giving a point of view, are genuinely interested in Burnley or they would not make that call.

We have to accept their point of view - we simply can't knock that. They are the supporters and they play a major role.

At the end of the day, I would rather hear them on the radio or shouting at the match than for them not to care at all. All I would ask is that they are fair and constructive, because there is a lot at stake."

QUESTION: Have you a message to the supporters at Turf Moor?

Teasdale: "We've had various peaks and troughs over the past 12 months. However, I remain convinced we are going in the right direction. I sometimes think it is a pity that the fans cannot see the feelings of passion, heartache and commitment in the dressing before and after each game.

There would be no question of, and I quote: 'The players not playing for the manager.'

Nothing could be further from the truth. The fans have my personal guarantee of that. I might be a lot of things, but I'm not a liar.

We have to feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I believe there is. I feel sure this is going to come right. I appeal for everybody to rally around the flag. I really do understand the fans' frustration at times, believe me. The status of Burnley is great and an awful lot of people have this club at heart.
