Wigan Warriors will swap the sun of Lanzarote for the mud of Warrington this weekend, in their first pre-season friendly.

Brian Noble's side flew back yesterday ahead of Sunday afternoon's friendly at the Haliwell-Jones Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

New signing Andy Coley has been included in a 21-man squad, alongside youngsters Andrew Thornley and Sean Ainscough.

Gareth Hock misses the game through suspension, following the two-game ban incurred against Leeds in last season's play-offs, and Richie Mathers, Karl Pryce and Stuart Fielden are out injured.

And Noble says his squad are in good shape after seven days in the sunshine of Spain.

"I always suspected it was going to be a most valuable trip and that's exactly how it's turned out to be," he said.

"At the end of it all I reckon we fit about three weeks worth of work into one week which is a very useful return."
