Super League Executive Chairman Robert Elstone said: “Everyone remembers Rob’s try in the 2011 Grand Final and so it is perfect that on the biggest night of the 2020 season, we ask Super League fans to raise funds to help Rob and others fight this cruel disease.

“His bravery has touched all of us and transcended the sporting world.

“I know all fans will want to show their support.”

The MND Association is a charity focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for people affected by motor neurone disease.

It has worked closely with Burrow since his diagnosis in 2019.

Chief Executive Sally Light added: “We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support shown for the MND Association by the Rugby League family.

“The way so many of you have united over the last year, inspired by Rob, to raise awareness and money has been heartwarming.

“Sadly, Rob is one of 5,000 people living with MND in the UK right now, and another six people are diagnosed every day.

“Thanks to the generosity of people like you we are funding research into causes and treatments for this brutal disease, and promoting good quality care ensuring that Rob, his family and thousands of others can access the care and support they need at such a difficult time.

“Our thanks go out to all of you who are making a real difference in the fight against MND.”
