KIERON Purtill has described Leigh’s 18-16 win at Toulouse as “one of our most important” of the year.
Centurions remain on the outside of the Betfred Championship top four looking in.
But five of their remaining six games, including Sunday’s trip to Dewsbury Rams, are against sides below them on the ladder.
“It was a great performance and fantastic effort,” said head coach Purtill of Leigh’s success in Albi last Saturday.
“It is certainly up there with one of the biggest this season in terms of keeping us on track and trying to get in that top four.
“To go over there, get the win and restrict a side who had been averaging 42 points at home to 16 points, was very pleasing.”
