Rovers will travel to Carlisle United in the Carabao Cup first round, while Accrington Stanley face a trip to Mansfield Town.

The draw, made in Vietnam this morning, was unseeded, with Rovers and Stanley two of the 36 teams in the northern half of the draw.

Rovers were handed a trip to Brunton Park to face the League Two Cumbrians, with the tie set to take place on the week commencing Monday, August 13.

The two sides, who met in pre-season last year, were also paired together in the League Cup in 2013/14.

Carlisle were victorious on that night, winning 4-3 on penalties after they played out a 3-3 draw, with Tom Cairney being sent off for Rovers.

Stanley meanwhile head to League Two side Mansfield Town. John Coleman's men won both of their meetings last season, including a 1-0 win at Field Mill in April.
