THIS season we are definitely the kings of the last minute goal, and this time it was Shay McCartan to the rescue and Stanley gained a well-earned point from high-flying York.

The home side took the lead through a very soft penalty, which I still cannot believe was awarded.

But Stanley didn’t give up and the lads battled well against a hard to beat York side. We have now reached the mythical 50 points which for many years has been the holy grail required to avoid relegation from League Two.

This season however I think we may need at least four more points from our last four games to ensure another season of league football.

On Friday we entertain Mansfield, who sit six points above us and safe from relegation.

They can still reach the play offs and although it is unlikely they will be no pushovers.

If we can play like we did at home to Morecambe then we should be able to claim three points and ease any concerns.

The next two away games are against teams who currently sit in the play offs and I hope the end of season nerves affect them more than us.

With the bottom two teams wining on Saturday the league looks even tighter than in recent weeks, I just hope we have done enough to stay clear of trouble.
