BURNLEY will begin the 2018/19 Premier League season with a trip to Southampton on the weekend of Saturday, August 11.

The Clarets welcome Watford to Turf Moor a week later in their first home game of the campaign before heading to the capital on Saturday, August 25 to face newly promoted Fulham.

The first big test for Sean Dyche's side comes on the weekend of September 1 when they host Manchester United.

But the Clarets will hope to have points on the board ahead of what looks like a daunting run-in. In the final four games of the season Burnley are away at Chelsea before hosting Manchester City, then they travel to Everton before ending the campaign with a Turf Moor clash with Arsenal.

The Clarets don't face much travelling over Christmas after a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal on Saturday, December 22. On Boxing Day they face Everton at Turf Moor before West Ham visit East Lancashire on Saturday, December 29.

New Year's Day brings the short trip to Huddersfield Town.

In midweek fixtures the Clarets are at home to Liverpool on Tuesday, December 4, Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday, January 29 and Newcastle United away on Wednesday, February 27.

The Europa League could yet see a number of Burnley's fixtures moved back 24 hours, particularly early on in the season.

If they make it through the second qualifying round then the first two games of the campaign will be moved to Sunday as a result of the third qualifying round action.

If the Clarets are successful at that stage then the trip to Fulham and the home clash with Jose Mourinho's United will also move to the Sunday with Burnley in the play-off round of the Europa League.
