Blackburn’s Emily Fletcher has been selected for the Lancashire Schools’ Cross Country Team to compete in the English Schools’ Championships at Castle Donnington in Leicestershire on March 21.
Fletcher missed the Lancashire Schools’ Championships due to illness but was picked for the junior girls after her outstanding form throughout the season. Lancaster’s Anneka Jarman was chosen for the senior girls for similar reasons, but in all other cases the first eight in the trial earned the selectors’ nod.
