Long distance ace Brian Cole is heading to Holland this weekend to run in a 100 kilometre event at Winschoten.
The race is over a flat course comprising of ten laps of 10 kilometres, and he is targeting seven hours 20 minutes, the ‘A standard’ for next year’s Commonwealth Championships in Keswick.
The Blackburn Harrier recently won the Boddington 50K in Gloucestershire and was the only Englishman to make the qualifying time for the 100K World Cup in Italy, but he has decided to pass up the chance to run for his country in November as he is due to become a father next month.
