CLITHEROE had to rely on a last-gasp effort to take a share of the points against Garforth in Evo-Stik First Division North.

The Blues dominated the early stages and Phil Eastwood was denied by a brilliant save before Garforth went ahead through David Brown.

Clitheroe pushed hard for a leveller but were rocked midway through the second period when Garforth went 2-0 up thanks to Oliver Hotchkiss.

But the locals pulled a goal back seconds later when Jack Higgins glanced a header over the keeper and a minute after that it was 2-2 as Rob Turner headed into the path of Alan Coar, who volleyed home from a tight angle.

Garforth went back into the lead a minute from time as Hotchkiss grabbed his second from a deflected shot but Clitheroe were not finished and salvaged a point in stoppage time when Turner fired in off the post to make it 3-3.
