Ramsbottom were big winners over derby rivals Rawtenstall at Acre Bottom with substitute professional Abdur Rehman starring for the title challengers.
Rehman, who is over here with the Pakistan squad, spun his way to 5-39, while skipper Jon Fielding made it 65 league wickets with 5-50 as Rawtenstall were all out for 135.
Professional Naved Arif (28), Andrew Payne (24), Andy Clough (21) and Danny Barlow (19) were the only batsmen to offer any real resistance for the vistors.
Jamie Pilling and David Bell both departed for ducks as Rammy replied but Keith Webb hit an unbeaten 52 and Rehman made 66 before losing his wicket with the victory line in sight.
