Whalley were the day’s biggest hitters as they made the third highest score in the Senior League’s history at Edenfield.
The hottest weekend of the season produced a record breaking display at Gincroft Lane where Edenfield and Whalley amassed 580 runs.
It’s the highest ever league aggregate, beating the 559 set by Blackburn Northern (307-8) and Oswaldtwistle (252-5) in 2006.
Whalley’s innings of 331-3 included 100 from Martin Davies and Kamram Younas’ 190 – the latter topping Kashif Siddique’s 185 for Padiham in the Ramsbottom Cup earlier this month.
Bottom of the table Edenfield were 247-9 in reply when the overs ran out, James Lester making 57.
