Neil Hodgson will miss this weekend's round of the British Superbike Championship at Thruxton as he continues his recovery from his crash at Brands Hatch.
The Burnley rider crashed heavily during the warm up session at the opening round and suffered a heavy impact to his shoulder.
He has taken medical advice to give the injury more time to heal so will watch from the sidelines.
Hodgson said: “I am totally gutted. When you start the year you know you’re probably going to have to take a few knocks, but to crash and land directly on my bad shoulder is so frustrating.
“We wanted to get through Brands Hatch and build on that so I am very disappointed for the team and all our supporters as everyone has put so much into this year.
“Now all I can do is keep working on my fitness and try and get back as soon as possible.”
