CLITHEROE manager Pete Smith believes his side will quickly recover from their disappointing Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy final defeat and enjoy a fine finish to the season.

The Blues – thumped 4-0 by Southport in the final at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium – travel to Wakefield in UniBond First Division (North).

“It was disappointing to lose by that scoreline,” said Smith.

“We gifted them three goals and that was disappointing.

“But the game has given the lads a taste to try and win some silverware.

“I want us to finish in the top 10 this season and I’d like us to reach 60 points if we can.

"We just need five more points to achieve it.”
