Ribblesdale High School hosted a primary netball festival for their ‘family’ of primary schools.
Read, Simonstone, Chatburn, St James Clitheroe, Balderstone, Mellor and Salesbury all entered teams with more than 100 pupils taking part, supported by staff and parents.
Salesbury were crowned champions with Read clinching runners-up spot.
The event was run by Neil Ashworth, Ribblesdale’s school sports coordinator.
He said: “All pupils showed determination, teamwork, skill and a high level of sportsmanship.
“They clearly enjoyed taking part and all participants received a certificate for their contribution on the day.”
The event was also run by Ribblesdale Year 11 sports captains and Year 10 students who acted as officials, recorders and timekeepers. “They were fantastic amb-assad-ors for our school,” added Ashworth.
