The door could be open for Lee McEvilly to make a sensational return to Accrington Stanley.
The strapping striker, who signed from Rochdale in May 2004 before moving to Wrexham a year later, is a free agent at the end of his one-year contract with the Robins.
But after a proposed move to Boston United fell through, the Northern Ireland international is still on the lookout for a new club.
Several sides have expressed an interest in signing the 24-year-old, and a return to the Racecourse is even still on the cards.
But if that fails to materialise, it could pave the way for the Reds to swoop for McEvilly once more.
Coleman made a striker one of his summer targets, and that urgency may be stepped up with Paul Mullin requiring a hernia operation.
