Glen Chapple will continue as Lancashire captain for the 2010 season.
Chapple, has just completed his 18th season with the club and remains one of the most consistent performers in county cricket, having recently been named Lancashire’s 2009 Championship Player of the Year.
Although missing five Championship matches this season with a foot injury, he still took 35 Championship wickets at an average of 25.25 and scored 390 runs.
Coach Peter Moores said: “I look forward to working with Glen next season. We have built a strong relationship and share the same vision for the club.
