BOSSES at Burnley FC are holding a dinner for legendary player Jimmy McIlroy.
Mr McIlroy was handed the freedom of Burnley in December after members of the council agreed to the accolade.
After that meeting, the former winger was paraded on the pitch at Turf Moor.
And now the club has laid on a sporting dinner, auction and grand raffle in honour of the Clarets great on Wednesday, March 25.
Proceeds from the tickets, priced at £25, will go towards the mayor’s charity and breast cancer services in Burnley and at Pendleside Hospice in Reedley.
Meanwhile, Burnley FC chief executive Paul Fletcher will be the guest speaker at the event.
