Lancashire have strengthened their squad with the signing of batsman Adrian Shankar on a two-year contract.
The 23-year-old has been handed a long-term deal after playing in the county’s second XI at the end of the 2008 season.
After representing the MCC, and also featuring for Kent’s second team last season, Shankar is looking forward to life at Old Trafford.
“Lancashire was always my preferred destination when deciding on my future,” said Shankar.
“I know competition for places will be fierce.”
