CLITHEROE karters Jonny Buchanan and Kirk Cattermole are celebrating a double success.
Buchanan, 18, from Brockhall Village, won the Senior Formula Blue title, while Kirk Cattermole, 20, from Clitheroe, scooped the Senior 125cc Rotax Max series.
The pair won their respective championships in a nail-biting final round at Hooton Park, Cheshire.
Cattermole, who works as a mechanic for his family-run business Cat Racing Services, went into the finale with a four points lead – but with any of three drivers in with a chance of taking the title.
But three faultless races, leading from start to finish, was enough to see him take the series by 11 points.
Buchanan matched his team-mate with another perfect race, leading into the first corner and maintaining his advantage to the chequered flag – nine seconds ahead of his nearest rival.
The result gives Buchanan, who works as a vehicle technician at James Alpe in Clitheroe, his second major trophy of the year after clinching the Dragon Kart Club Championship earlier this month.
