CHORLEY boxer Michael Jennings is close to finalising his WBO welterweight title fight with Miguel Cotto after a points victory over Doncaster’s Jason Rushton in Glasgow.
Jennings went the distance in his international eight-round fight against Rushton but won on a unanimous points decision.
The 31-year-old is now expected to arrange a deal to fight Cotto in February in what would be a dream match-up for Jennings, who is currently the WBU champion.
