ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has praised midfielder Jimmy Ryan after his injury-time equaliser against Notts County at the weekend.

Ryan’s second career goal, his second for Stanley, helped rescue a point after Sean Canham’s 88th minute strike.

It was Ryan’s first game back after missing three matches because of international duty with the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21s.

And Coleman said: “I don’t think you’ve seen the best of Jimmy Ryan yet.

“He played well on the right and scored a good goal.

“It’s a big honour to be picked to play for your country and hopefully that will have whetted his appetite.”
