The spoils were shared in a well-contested and entertaining match at Witton Albion’s Wincham Park.
Runcorn took the lead through Steve Pickup, but Rammy equalised when Matt Edgington’s cross was handled in the box, and Tom Ruttle scored the spot-kick.
Against the run of play, Runcorn re-took the lead when Michael Morrison headed home.
But United continued to press and got a second equaliser, when substitute Jon Stevenson found himself in the right place to fire home an angled drive.
