CLITHEROE were forced into a share of the spoils as they drew with Leek Town in a good FA Cup first qualifying tie at Shawbridge – with the replay now taking place tomorrow night.

The Blues had good early chances for Anthony Johnson and Carl Lomax, who saw his lob shave the wrong side of the upright, before the visitors had two good chances themselves.

Leek had a series of corners that came to nothing and the first-half ended evenly.

After the interval, both sides looked to get a result on the day and the Blues took the lead in the 66th minute when a sublime Craig Sargeson pass found Johnson in the penalty area and he controlled and fired home with a smart finish.

A series of substitutions gave the visitors hope and they levelled on 84 minutes with a low drive from midfielder Ashley Millar.
