RAMSBOTTOM United boss Andy Feeley has revealed that highly-rated goalkeeper Andy Robertson is staying put at the Riverside – after changing his mind over a move to New Mills.

Robertson was all set to switch to United’s Vodkat Premier Division rivals, where his financial terms were reported to be better.

However, the former Rossendale stopper has turned down the money to commit his immediate future to the Rams.

“Andy has changed his mind and will be staying with us,” said Feeley.

“He was offered more money at New Mills, but he’s decided against going.

“It’s not often you see players doing that, it’s refreshing to see.

“Andy’s a quality keeper – there’s not many of them about.”

Robertson has missed United’s last three games with a back injury, but is back for tomorrow’s trip to Runcorn Linnets.
