BURNLEY defender Christian Kalvenes is a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.
The Clarets resume their Championship calendar at the City Ground this weekend after a two-week break for internationals, but Kalvenes is unlikely to play his part after limping out of the last league game with a groin problem.
The Norwegian left back was withdrawn 74 minutes into the 0-0 draw with Plymouth Argyle and has undergone intensive treatment ever since, but Coyle is not prepared to risk him.
“We’ll give Christian every chance, but he might be a doubt,” said the Burnley boss.
“He’s responded to treatment since he came off against Plymouth but not as quickly as we would have liked.
“If he doesn’t make it, then Stephen Jordan’s done well and was unlucky to miss out when he did.”
