I have to admit I'm surprised Mark is even contemplating talking to Manchester City.
If he was thinking of going to Chelsea then fair enough. Or possibly Manchester United in the future.
But I honestly thought he was happy and settled at Rovers, and only the lure of a top four job would be enough to tempt him away.
Perhaps he feels he has taken Rovers as far as he can and believes the time is right to take on another big challenge.
I know Mark's an ambitious guy so maybe he feels Manchester City have the potential to challenge the big guns now that they've got the finances to spend big in the transfer market.
I really hope I'm wrong though because, like everyone else at Rovers, I'd be gutted to see him go. He's the best thing that has happened to the club in a long, long time.
