ACCRINGTON edged past Enfield by just one run on Saturday to book their place in the Worsley Cup semi-final for the first time since 1989.

The hosts appeared to be struggling early on when they were 12-3.

But Graeme Sneddon (31), Toby Bullock (32), Graham Lloyd (33) and Simon Hansen (34 not out) helped to steady the ship and Accy ended up posting Enfield a target of 208.

Professional Roy Silva then took over with the ball to dismiss Ferguson for just three.

Mas Ahmed continued his fine run of form with a knock of 47.

But, from looking comfortable at 133-2, they lost two quick wickets and Accy captain David Ormerod took complete control of the tie with an inspired spell of bowling.

Enfield battled all the way though, and could've snatched it at the death with two runs needed off the last ball.

However, it wasn't to be, as Paul Carroll produced a dot ball to take the victory.

Todmorden demolished the Bacup attack at Lanehead, bowling them out for 86.

John Campbell (4-14), captain John Henderson (3-8) and James Morgan (2-22) did the damage.

Simon Newbiss hit 37 and Gulam Bodi finished on 31 unbeaten as they recorded a seven wicket win.

Ramsbottom professional Lou Vincent hit an unbeaten century to help his side past Haslingden, who looked to be in command thanks to fine knocks from captain Graham Knowles (66) and 47 from Oliver Rigby.

But the New Zealander took control, hitting 13 fours and a six in a total of 122 from 126 balls.

Over at Turf Moor, Jeeva Kulatunga was another player getting himself up to three figures as he helped the hosts to a five-wicket win over Lowerhouse.

The visitors had made 198-8, which included 83 from paid man Brendan Drew.

But Burnley passed that total reasonably comfortably thanks to the contribution from Kulatunga, who was backed up by Daniel Pickup (21) and Andy McLeod (29).

All Sunday's Lancashire League games were washed out and will be replayed on Saturday, August 30.
