The Lancashire League season starts this weekend. Here, Lancashire Telegraph Sport looks at East Lancs.
- Captain: Mark Bolton
- Professional: Shanan Stewart
- Last season: 6th
- Ins: Steve Whalley (Fulwood and Broughton), Andrew Caunce (Baxenden)
- Outs: None
Bolton: "We were disappointed to finish sixth last season.
"At one stage, we were third in the table and really looking to kick on, but we ended up losing seven of our last nine matches and our season tailed off.
"I'd like to think we can improve on that position this time and finish in the top five, but I expect the league to be a lot tighter.
"Rishton won it fair and square last season, and Rawtenstall were also strong too.
"But this time I expect the title race to be a lot more wide open, with possibly eight teams in with a chance.
"We've got the same pro, Shanan Stewart, and he's coming here off the back of winning the State Championship with Canterbury so he should be full of confidence.
"But we have a small squad so we'll need plenty of commitment if we want to go close."
