CHAMPIONS Blackburn Northern start the defence of their Veka Ribblesdale League title with a tough trip to Barnoldswick tomorrow.
Baxenden are tipped to scrap it out with Settle for this season's championship, and they will include former Lancashire and England star Ian Austin in their side for the home game against Earby.
Settle, who have Paul Ridgway and Dave Morrell back in the fold, host Whalley.
Great Harwood will give a Ribblesdale League debut to Indian professional Syed Sahabuddin against Edenfield, while Cherry Tree face Ossy Immanuel, and Padiham host Clitheroe.
