Chorley open their campaign with a trip to Leyland tomorrow, but still have problems with their professional.
The club only secured the services of South African seamer Friedel de Wet on Tuesday, but he is unavailable for the season opener, so they are likely to seek a sub pro from the Lancashire League.
The club's original signing, 22-year-old Sri Lankan all-rounder Kosela Kulasekara, had to pull out last month due to injury.
