ACCRINGTON STANLEY star Andy Procter says he won't be happy until Accrington's League Two status is mathematically secure.

John Coleman's side travel to Meadow Lane tomorrow 10 points clear of Mansfield, who occupy the first relegation place, and a win would see them safe for another season.

But Procter, who has 11 goals to his name this season, believes Stanley should be challenging at the other end of the table.

He said: "We were relieved to get the win against Dagenham but we should never have been down at the wrong end of the table in the first place, given the quality we have in the squad.

"If you look at Rochdale, who beat County in midweek, we have the same quality as they have but they're challenging for the play-offs and we're not.

"We have to get the three points and then aim to finish as high as we can to set us up for next season.

"We've seen in this league that anyone can beat anyone but we have given away too many soft goals and gone behind in games too many times. If you can keep yourself in a game in the first 60-70 minutes, then you can win a game.

"But this season, mistakes by players all over the field have cost us big time and we need to rectify that if we're going to push on next season."

But Procter admitted that his team-mates seemed to relish the bigger occasions.

He added: "Meadow Lane is a massive ground. It's easily of Championship standard, and we just seem to do better in front of the bigger crowds.

"We can't put our finger on why. Maybe it's because the boys spent so long playing in smaller grounds. But I know the boys are really looking forward to the game.

"If we want to keep playing in the better stadiums then we need to beat County and get revenge for when they turned us over at our place."
