BURNLEY supporters are getting in the saddle once again for another wheelie good fund-raiser.

For the fifth year in a row, the group is planning a mammoth bike ride for the last game of the season against Crystal Palace.

Following on from fund-raising journeys from the Eiffel Tower to Turf Moor, Lands End to John O Groats and Mizen Head back to Burnley, the intrepid cyclists are now planning to make the journey from Amsterdam through to Selhurst Park.

Already there are 23 riders including celebrity Burnley fan Alastair Campbell and ex-Crystal Palace player and legendary fund-raiser Geoff Thomas.

The group will be led by Burnley's business operat-ions manager Chris Gibson, and will also include former player Andy Farrell.

They will be departing from Hull to Amsterdam on April 27, using pedal power to get through Arnhem, Breda, Ostende, Calais and back up to Crystal Palace from Dover in time for the final match of the season against the Eagles.

It is hoped the group will raise over £20,000 for Youth Development and Leukae-mia Research.

Each rider has committed to raise at least £1,000 in sponsorship and has also paid a fee to go towards the expenses of the ride.
