PADIHAM'S home fixture against league leaders New Mills lasted 50 minutes before the weather got the better of both sides, leaving the referee with no option but to abandon the game because of a waterlogged pitch, with the visitors leading 2-1.
Goals by Nicky Ryan (29) and Gary Kharas (38), had given New Mills a 2-0 lead, before Andy Haworth pulled one back for Padiham.
With the rain still lashing down as the two teams started the second half, and the ground submerged under water, the game was eventually called to a halt.
