Rovers have unveiled their new red and black away strip for the 2021/22 Championship season.

It is the second kit to be unveiled by new manufacturers Macron, with Rovers having worn the new home shirt in the pre-season friendly at Bradford City on Saturday.

The new away shirt, made up of the popular red and black design, is expected to be worn for the first time when Leeds United visit Ewood Park on Wednesday night.

That is when the home and away shirts will go on sale, coinciding with the re-opening of the Roverstore sore.

The club said: "A much-loved classic, this season sees Rovers return to the red-and-black halves, which are accompanied by a classy crewneck design with white edges.

“The back-neck is personalised with the renowned Rovers crest and our motivational Arte et Labore motto, whilst an elegant Lancashire rose also enriches the shirt on the lower front black band.

“Black shorts with red side stripes and black socks with a red top border complete the stylish new strip, which reflects the tradition and history of the club, combining quality, technicality and attention to detail.”

The shirt will be accompanied by black shorts with red side stripes and black socks with a red top border.

Rovers say they are still awaiting delivery of junior and infant kits, but adult shirts, shorts and socks can be purchased from 10am on Wednesday.

The new Macron training wear was also on show for the first time at Bradford.
