Rovers will now host Derby County on Friday night following an EFL directive.

The game has been brought forward from Saturday at 3pm and now take place at 6pm on Friday, April 16.

It comes after an EFL decision to move all games on Saturday as a mark of respect to HRH Prince Philip who died on Friday, aged 99.

A national minute’s silence will be observed as the ceremonial royal funeral for the Duke of Edinburgh takes place at 3pm on Saturday, April 17, and EFL announced that all fixtures would be re-arranged to avoid a clash.

Clubs were offered the chance to move the kick-off time on Saturday, but Rovers and Derby have agreed to play the game on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the final day game with Birmingham City has also been brought forward.

The Saturday, May 8 meeting was due to be played at 3pm, but will now kick-off at 12.30, along with all other Championship fixtures.
