BRADLEY Dack could be just a month away from a return to action, according to manager Tony Mowbray.

Rovers' playmaker has been sidelined since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in December. But, after a painstaking rehabilitation, Mowbray is pleased with the progress that Dack is making.

“Dack is obviously a big loss, coming up 10-11 months now, around Christmas time against Wigan he did his ACL," said the Rovers boss.

"He’s back on the training ground and not too far away. Maybe another month Dacky should be bringing what he brings to our team and lighting it up."

It is particularly good news for the Rovers boss with the number of absentees from his squad now into double figures.

"I think there are 10 players unavailable that I would suggest could start in our team or have started in our team," Mowbray added.

“Lewis Travis has been a huge loss for us of course, he’s done a lateral knee ligament.

“He just brings our midfield a balance, a real warrior who can break things up and win the ball back and help the team.

“Bradley Johnson has been a loss over recent weeks for us.

“Thomas Kaminski the goalkeeper came in and we’ve missed him.

“Aynsley (Pears) was brought in from Middlesbrough as a young goalie who we see for the future as being a really top goalkeeper but Kaminski had started so very well for the team and unfortunately tweaked his groin in a game recently.

“Daniel Ayala, who we brought from Middlesbrough to be a dominant central defender tweaked a groin as well.

“Rothwell’s nicked his back.

“I can keep going on. It’s frustrating because you get judged by your results and yet I feel the team have performed at a really high level for most of this season."
