ASHLEY Westwood will return from suspension for Burnley's Premier League clash against Manchester City.

Westwood missed Saturday's home defeat to Crystal Palace after picking up a fifth booking of the season, but returns to a midfield in which Danny Drinkwater is pushing for a start.

Charlie Taylor is an injury doubt after being forced off against Palace while Johann Berg Gudmundsson is not yet fit after a hamstring problem.

City will make one enforced change with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan suspended after accumulating five bookings this season.

Record goalscorer Sergio Aguero (thigh) and left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko (knee) are not yet ready to return.

Winger Leroy Sane and centre-back Aymeric Laporte are both long-term absentees with knee injuries.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola remains confident in Manchester City's quest for a third successive Premier League title despite Saturday's setback.

Newcastle snatched a late point at St James' Park before Liverpool secured a nervy win at home to Brighton to extend their lead over City - who sit third in the table - to 11 points.

But Guardiola insisted his side are focused on themselves and not the runaway leaders.

The Spaniard said: "They have to believe they will win tomorrow. In the situation we are we cannot think about the people in front.

"We have to think about what we have to do to win games."

City can cut the gap to eight points with victory at Turf Moor before Liverpool's Merseyside derby with Everton on Wednesday evening.

However, Guardiola is expecting a tough night at Burnley and explained why he has not selected Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones together in defence during recent matches.

Guardiola said: "It is difficult for all the teams. What they (Burnley) do, they do perfectly.

"I like Fernandinho playing in that position. Right now that is where he plays."
