Late goals from Jay Rodriguez and Dwight McNeil weren't enough to rescue a point for the Clarets against Chelsea at Turf Moor.

The Blues ran out 2-4 winners thanks to a hat-trick from Christian Pulisic and a goal from Willian.

Here's how the Clarets players rated:

Nick Pope 6

Perhaps should have done better with Pulisic's first but was helpless for the other three Chelsea goals. Wasn't tested too much aside from the goals.

Matt Lowton 6

Got his legs in a tangle and gave ball away for first goal but otherwise OK. Tried to get forward and test Alonso and found limited success.

James Tarkowski 6

His sloppy pass led to Pulisic's second goal and struggled at times with the American running at him towards goal.

Ben Mee 7

Probably the pick of the back four. Deflection off him for the second goal which he couldn't do much about but looked assured up against Abraham.

Erik Pieters 6

Stood off Willian far too much for the fourth and was limited going forward. Hit one superb volley which Kepa did well to stop.

Jeff Hendrick 6

Moved back out wide to accommodate the return of Jack Cork and struggled to make an impact at times. Passing not as crisp as we've seen in recent weeks.

Jack Cork 7

Slotted back in nicely on his return. Broke up various Chelsea breaks and looked to get the ball moving forward.

Ashley Westwood 6

Quieter than usual but was able to give his midfield partner Cork the space to operate. Passing could have been better at times.

Dwight McNeil 8

A really confident display from the youngster who gave the Chelsea defence all sorts of problems with his pace and drive. Great finish for the second goal.

Ashley Barnes 5

Should have scored at 0-1 with a header from a couple of yards but fluffed his lines. Had a couple of other chances but didn't test Kepa.

Jay Rodriguez 7

Scored a stunner as the clock wound down and looked to get involved at every opportunity. It's three goals from three starts for the local lad.

Subs

Matej Vydra 6

Difficult game to come into with the Clarets 0-4 down but worked hard and looked busy. Lacks a bit of sharpness due to limited game time.

Robbie Brady 6

Gave the Clarets some drive in the closing stages. Fans know there's more to come from the winger but we saw glimpses in his cameo here.
