How big a blow to Rovers is an extended period on the sidelines for Greg Cunningham?

It's a real setback given the fragility (kind words) of the back four. From what I have seen he looks potentially a very good full-back.

He exhibits, pace, tenacity and vision unlike some of his colleagues.

We have seemingly wasted £12 million on two ineffective strikers so it's a great pity that the money wasn't spent on bolstering a shambolic defence and linking Cunningham to a composed outfit, able and ready to exploit his obvious abilities.

The likely replacements leave something to be desired and I'm left wishing for a magic wand or three points and three pints.

Greg Cunningham has arguably been Tony Mowbray's best bit of business this year. He hasn't wowed me, but he's brought balance, consistency and inspired confidence in all around him.

I personally think Amari'i Bell is a better player with better athleticism and technical ability, he just lacks the self-assurance that Cunningham has developed which counts for so much more.

He will be missed but it's an opportunity for others to stake a claim for the position - Bell, Hart or even Grayson who I think would make a more effective full back than a central defender.

We might even see Williams deployed there and Tosin Adarabioyo get his chance?
