OFFRANDE Zanzala made it two goals in two games as he scored the second goal in the 3-0 against Oldham Athletic in the EFL Trophy.

The converted spot kick meant that, after eight weeks out with a hamstring injury, Zanzala is now full confidence after helping his side progress to the last 32 of the competition.

Zanzala was delighted to start the match as it gave him the chance to get more minutes after a lengthy lay-off.

"I think we can go all the way, there’s no point just being in the competition if you don’t think you can win it," said Zanzala.

"We’ve got a great team; we’ve been working hard all week preparing for this game and we’ve got through to the next round.

"We’ll take each game as it comes."

Zanzala came on at half-time against Oxford United on Saturday and played a further 70 minutes at Boundary Park.

"I’m delighted to be back of course and getting more minutes in my legs, which is important," added the striker.

"But, getting on the scoresheet is the best feeling as a striker.

"I’m delighted with the three points for the team because, at the end of the day, that’s what matters the most, but I’m happy to be on the scoresheet again.

"It’s memories like this that you dream about and you visualise in your head. I’ve always been waiting for the moment to get my first goals of the season.

"I can get more confidence and kick on so I can help the team.

"I had chances, but I’m happy to reflect on the misses now that I’ve scored goals. Every game is a big game for the team, and we want to keep building and see what happens."

Stanley were comfortable throughout in the match at Oldham and the striker was happy with the performance from his team mates.

"I thought it was a good game, we worked hard, and I thought we opened them up well," Zanzala said. "From the defence to the attack, we kept it well and created loads of chances. We deserved the three points and we’re through to the next round."
