DOMINIC Samuel is expected to make his second outing for Rovers Under-23s against Wolves this evening.

Billy Barr will take charge of his first home match having been named Damien Johnson’s successor ahead of Monday’s Premier League 2 draw at Leicester City.

Barr made seven changes for the game at the King Power Stadium, with a more experienced look to the XI with Joe Rankin-Costello, goalscorer Joe Grayson, Matty Platt and Harry Chapman among those to come in.

Sam Hart also started at left back, playing the opening 45 minutes, as he continues his comeback from a hamstring injury sustained last month. The 22-year-old could further his game-time tonight, with Samuel also set to be involved having not played since a behind-closed-doors game against Southport last month.

The 25-year-old striker is on the comeback trail from a serious knee ligament injury sustained 12 months ago, and was pencilled in to play against the Foxes only to be ruled out having suffered with an allergic reaction.

Rovers, who finished fifth last season, will be eyeing a first win of this campaign after starting with a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal before the point at Leicester.

Barr said: “I’ll never set a team out to defend, I want us to open teams up and score goals.”
